A simple buttercream should be gluten-free. (I can't think, off-hand, of any frosting recipes that have flour or other glutinous content??)

I don't have it at my fingertips, but I know we've made cupcakes and muffins off of there and they were great.

King Arthur GF cake mix is good, too.

Otherwise, Cybele Pascale is the master (mistress?) of GF baking, she has many great cupcake recipes.

Betty Crocker gluten free cake mix from your local giant. I'm celiac and these make great cupcakes without having to buy all the GF flour and xanthan gum etc.

We made them from a box recipe and that worked well.
