That's really not news. There are a lot of highly motivated kids in the Arlington schools, although the concentration seems to be at W-L, Yorktown and H-B Woodlawn.

W-L and Yorktown generally have a good number of National Merit Semifinalists every year. And the past few years both schools have had Finalists. There is no surprise here.

Because the other schools shot down anyone who daren't say their school is better because of 1-3% higher test scores and their 'Greatschools' number, always touting their 8 point score over W-L's 5. The schools in Arlington are all great, some people just need to accept that.
