The tests were in January for us last year. And you get the results in June. It was Inview only and no Raven test.

My son enjoyed the test and said those days when they took the test were the "funnest" days of the year. He did well on the test but so far haven't seen what if anything the data was used for, other than a label.

Ask at the parent teacher conference if you want to know. Personally, I wouldn't do anything different.

I believe all of the 2nd grade testing is in the Spring.

Thanks for the link. Helpful. Still not sure when kids take these tests and I want to make sure the teachers tell me ahead of time so I can make sure I do not plan very tiring playdate, etc the day before.

I wasn't planning on doing any prepping, but my SIL (who is an insane Tiger mom) sent me a test prep book for Raven. I hate to admit it, but my daughter actually liked the colorful book. It was like doing mental puzzles she said.
