We get Perdue Simply Smart Lightly Breaded Chicken Chunks, from the freezer section of the Giant or Shoppers. These are chicken breast chunks (whole pieces, not reformed nuggets) and taste pretty good.

I do a Sunday grill/pan fry chicken breasts w/ herbs for my kid. I put these in little containers and they go to daycare and are pulled out for fast dinner during the week. Not frozen, but also is pretty easy. (Literally dredge boneless skinless chix or the tenderloins or whatever the smaller ones are called in olive oil, throw some herbs on them, toss in hot frying pan, cook, chop up, container, done.)

Its not chicken fingers, but I just wanted to leave a shout out for the fishsticks they sell at Costco. Whole pieces of filet, not too much breading, and you get a huge bag for twelve bucks. It's the best toddler-acceptable bargain out there as far as protein goes.

Bell and Evans - you can get breasts/nuggets/strips. They are great!

agree w/ previous post. They are extremely easy to make. I buy chicken breasts and cut them up into strips.

Remember dry, wet, dry. Season them w/ seasoning and/or seasoned flour, then into beaten eggs, then back into flour or bread crumbs, which you can buy ready made. I prefer panko.

I prefer to fry them, we don't eat them very often. I filter and store my oil in a sealed container and it lasts for months.

I know what I am having tonight

I know these are not the healthiest things to eat, but I have a picky eater, who doesn't recognize (easily) hunger and he is now interested in chicken nuggets. So I want a little better food than the ones I have been getting at Trader Joes.

First off there is nothing wrong with reformed chicken nuggets that are all white meat.

2nd, you are looking for chicken strips NOT chicken nuggets, get it right next time.

How about getting chicken strips and using shake and bake? A bit healthier than frozen all the time. Perdue makes some in the meat refrigerator section but not sure how healthy they are. We do them occasionally.

Bell & Evans at Whole Foods has breaded chicken nuggets. However since they are uncooked chicken they take forever to cook properly (at least 30 minutes I think).
