PP- The difference is, someone in the family is spending time with your kids- your DH. I never understood why SAHMs hire a nanny but not a housekeeper. If I had the choice, I would want to take care of my kids and have someone to clean. To each his/her own.

Mom of four here who works ft. I bet some people think I'm a lousy mom who never spends time with her kids, but that simply isn't true. When the SAHMs see my dh out with the kids without me (eg, grocery store, pool, practices), I am at home scrubbing toilets, mopping floors, cooking dinner, etc. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors. I love my kids madly, and we spend quality time together. My kids are fine.

Mom is a lousy mom. They are better off being parented by a nanny, if they are more capable. Not everyone enjoys the drudgery of parenting but enjoys saying they have kids. They can afford it, so where is the problem?

I have to get this out.

Someone I know is pregnant with her FOURTH child. No problem except she NEVER spends any time with her kids. She works FT, has a live in nanny. After work, she jogs every day and spends no time with those poor kids. I would be rushing home to be with my kids. I am always sad for her kids.

Even where there is rain, snow, storms--the nanny still have to walk ALL the kids to school. Even though mom's car is home, she never drives them. Cant the mom get up a few minutes earlier and drive the kids? I cant imagine being like that.

Why would someone want another kids if they don't even spend time with the ones they have?
