We really enjoy Raku in Bethesda. High quality food but not super fancy and there will be a lot of families around.

Kaz is tremendously overrated. Sushi Taro is light years ahead of it.

It is, however, next door to Sushi Taro.

Hands-down Sushi Taro's kaiseki (tasting) menu! Absolute best Japanese restaurant in the DC area (I say that as someone who lived in Japan).

They validate parking, not too hard to drive down there from Bethesda.
