Agree! The all natural Harris Teeter store brand is like old Breyer's. Haagen-Daz is not like the old Breyer's, because Breyer's was never super premium ice cream. It was however, great! Sometimes, you don't want the taste of Haagen-Daz -- in those times, I reach for HT.

The plain vanilla Bryers is only a few ingredients - but I agree it's not the same as it used to be. Turkey Hill All Natural (black lid) is close.

Yes, that is what high-quality ice cream is supposed to be.

Haggan das makes one that is called "five ingredients". The vanilla bean is Breyers-esque.

The regular flavors are still ice cream--it's the ones with all the candy, etc. in them that aren't. The vanilla in my freezer only has 5 ingredients.

Me too. And it has to be regular plain old vanilla.

Costco Kirkland Signature Premium Vanilla. It's got just 5 ingredients and tastes the way vanilla should taste.

Turkey Hill Natural. Not regular Turkey Hill.

There's always HD and B&J.

...when it was just cream, sugar, vanilla beans, etc. It used to be more like homemade, melted quickly, didn't have all the carrageenan, air, etc.

It used to actually be a half gallon too.
