I understand your unwillingness to apply again. However, not being a good fit IS a real reason to be let go, not an egregious reason such as fraud or theft, but a reason nonetheless. Now, most (decent) employers would give you a chance to improve, maybe put you on a PIP or something like that, but they don't have to. Sorry this happened.
