Vitamix has a 7-year warranty. It will handle smoothies effortlessly. Costco often has specials on the Vitamix and Blendtecs, which can cost substantially less than other places.

So I bought the Magic Bullet 3 months ago basically just for smoothies - well it has stopped working because the bottom spinny thing has been completely rundown and won't catch anymore. I hate the idea of investing in a better machine (Ninja? Vitamix?) and have the same thing happen. The smoothies I make use some ice and mostly frozen fruits and vegetables - am I doing something wrong?
