I got it as a gift after having a baby a few years back and the food was terrible. Stouffers frozen dinners are much better tasting and don't taste as obviously frozen

When I was in high school the big rumor among the kids in our neighborhood was that the Schwanns delivery man was making deliveries of a very special kind to one of the moms. That's what I think of every time I see their trucks.

It is frozen food. Full of fat and carbs. It is not healthy.

If you like eating crap and you can't make it to a grocery store than it may be just for you.

They actually have a large "LiveSmart" selection, perfect for a balanced meal with accurate portion sizes.

I grew up eating mostly Schwann's. Now as an adult I am having to teach myself about cooking and nutrition because my parents just served pre packaged stuff.

But if you want to supplement with it occasionally, it is really tasty (if expensive). And the ice cream is to die for.

I agree with those saying stuff is expensive. Esp when you can catch sales at the grocery store and get a better deal. It is all about convenience though

My mom ordered lots of Schwann's stuff when I was growing up including these poppyseed bagel dogs I HATED. I did like the asparagus and cheese stuffed chicken breasts I think but that's about it. Basically: it tastes exactly like frozen meals. If you are okay with those, it would be a perfectly good option for weeknights. I dislike frozen meals and a lot of frozen food in general so it isn't my thing but it's not hideously expensive or disgusting from what I remember.

I like to buy the frozen fish. It is all individually sealed, so you only open what you want to use. Sometimes, it's just two pieces of salmon. If I have company, I make all of it. But it's always there when I want it. And the micro-steam vegetables are wonderful. I lost my driver and now just have it shipped once a month for $10. It's packed in dry ice. I have also given gift certificates to friends who are recovering from surgery because it's a great way to stock the freezer.

No catch, but I think it's pricey. Their ice cream is really good.

We like it. The only issue is if the route driver quits then sometimes it can take a while to find a good replacement.

really? it seems like around $50 for a weeks worth of dinners...that is not too bad. But what I want to know is if it is good and if there is a catch, like you have to join as a member?
