What??? I live in this area (White Flint), and the only "burglaries" I know of are car thefts every few months. Hardly qualifies at "lots" - please quit it with the sensationalism. Rockville is QUITE large, and there may be pockets further north that have higher crime rates, but not this area.

The area is quite safe, has lots to offer - the schools are great. Depending on where you are you can walk to Whole Foods, gym, restaurants, and more in the next couple years. You are walking distance to the Bethesda Trolley Trail, which has lots of runner/biker traffic. The Pike is busy - no doubt. But it is also a major artery to any shopping you need/want to do. I love it here.

I love Rockville! Great schools, great shopping, lots of diversity and you don't get that snootiness like in Bethesda and Potomac.

Rockville has a very rough (crime) side to it that is not revealed right away. I would not.

Are you sure this isn't 20851? There was a string of burglaries in that zip recently, and I think someone was arrested.

Well, if I have a choice, I wouldn't live in Rockville

Raised in 20852, and just bought a house there, so obviously I like it. Never noticed a crime problem, so not sure what 15:36 is referring to.

A variety of neighborhoods at different price points. Some feed into the Richard Montgomery High School cluster, some into the Walter Johnson High School cluster.

Pros: good schools, good access to 270, good access to shopping and a wide variety of restaurants. Parts are within the bounds of the City of Rockville, which so far has proven to have good services. Seriously, every city employee I've dealt with for setting up my utilities and applying for permits and such has been super nice. Decent diversity.

Cons: yes, there's traffic. But not moreso than a lot of other zips in the DC metro area. You're in Montgomery County, so you'll pay the taxes that go with it. Pepco is your primary electric co, and they're meh. The Red line can really suck at times. There's construction on the Pike, and a history of poorly planned projects (I still think Montrose Parkway is just weird).
