It's pretty normal to have a random annovulatory cycle every once in a while, especially if you just came off BCP. I would wait another cycle, but if you don't O again, definitely call and get the ball rolling. Do you have any symptoms of PCOS?
Also, just wanted to reiterate that the 6 and 12 month waiting periods don't apply (except maybe where your insurance is concerned) if you have a known fertility issue. And, even then, they are a bit sketchy. My doctor believes that a healthy, under 35-yo could should really get pregnant within 6 months of active TTC (charting with good timing, etc.). After that, it's time to explore reasons why it isn't happening.
