My DD had her lip ties lasered when she was 3, almost 4. Her younger brother had just had his done (infant) and we realized how prominent hers were, and seemed to be causing tooth enamel loss. She was also a fitful sleeper, woke up a lot, and I read that can be related to tongue/lip tie.. She received nitrous oxide for the procedure and the worst part was her detoxing off of that, which they told us to expect.
The exercises afterward were much harder than with my infant because of her age. But you have to do them! There is one spot where hers reattached a bit because I think I stopped them too soon. The dentist said it’s fine, but I still kick myself about it. We have seen huge improvement in DD’s sleep and teeth since the procedure.
