From someone who grew up in the Baltimore area please don't go to Phillips. It's a huge tourist trap and I remember reading or hearing years ago that a lot of their seafood isn't even local. I'd suggest Liftle Italy. One of the more casual restaurants that would be good with a kid is Amicci's. Go to Vacarro's for dessert after.

I had the best meal I've eaten in Baltimore at Charleston, definitely not cheap, but excellent.

I missed the part about bringing the young one, when I made these rec. Can't speak to how child friendly they are.

Pazo - but not sure on the high chair angle. Call and ask. Any of Cindy Wolf's restaurants would be fantastic.

You would want to cab to Pazo.

There used to be a Mexican food restaurant along there. OK food, but great drinks and gorgeous views of the water if you can get a great table.

Also, we took all the fathers in our family out on one of those odyssey cruises for Father's Day. It was FUN! I had some trepredations but we had a ball. Gobs of buffet food. Lots of things to look at. Pictures taken of the family at the table and dancing.

Agreed, but note that Phillips is no longer at the Inner Harbor but at 601 East Pratt instead.

The Black Olive in Fells Point is also excellent.

You'd need to take a cab, but I love Woodberry Kitchen. It's maybe 4 miles outside the inner harbor area. Incredibly local, farm to table kind of place.

DH and I and our two year old are staying in the inner harbor overnight and would like to grab dinner at a place relatively nearby (walking or quick cab ride). Any recommendations? We'd like to avoid the big tourist traps and chains but also looking for a place that has high chairs (or won't bat an eyelash if we show up with DS). Locally owned is a plus.

Thank you!
