Reading this I assume milk and formula only. Not sure applesauce and yogurt would qualify.

In my experience, if you have the young child with you, they are not strict at all. I've taken a lot of pouch food plus milk and water and TSA didn't comment at all.

Yup. Never had a problem with this.

The official rule is kids under 2.

Do you have a link for that? I've never seen an age limit, and TSA's page doesn't list an age limit. http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/traveling-children

Sandwiches are fine-- but yogurt, applesauce, pudding, and Nutella all may get thrown out.

You can't bring liquids over 3oz so look at your yogurt & apple sauce closely. I would recommend sandwiches with crackers or chips and whole fruit.

We always pack PBJs and chips to enjoy with our complimentary beverage.

We fly Southwest and fake cheez-its and Lorna Doons just aren't enough to get through two short-haul flights and a 35 minute layover in the middle of nowhere.

Yes. Anything not liquid is fine.

I know you can't bring drinks from home, but sandwiches? Any other restrictions regarding food/snacks?
