You don't understand many things it seems. Maybe you could stick to making pronoucments about topics you're more comfortable with? Howard County Schools? Scrapbooking? Or the relative merits of swim clubs in N Arlington.

The residency fraud applies to the public charter schools as well. I am an FCPS elementary school teacher who lives in DC. I would stack my kids' charter school against any FCPS school in a minute. What I hate is folks who do not live here and pay taxes to scam the system. I know of a few families that have tried this at my kids' school. They lived in MD, but the mom worked close by. If you do not live in DC, then you don't get to use the public schools here.

And as another poster said, there is FREE school for PreK 3 in many schools. All day. That's well over $10K in yearly savings in childcare costs.

Also people who live in VA and Montgomery County. I have turned in people/know people who work for the Feds and live in these area but it is easier for their children to go to DCPS/DCPCS...at least for the earlier years of school.

I drove by Watkins and noticed that someone had made a printed and laminated sign with "Residency Fraud Hotline" and the telephone number. it was attached to one of the parking signs next to the drop off lane. I live near Watkins (but don't have kids there) and see cars with Maryland plates dropping off kids all the time.

Any other schools have the fraud hotline posted out front?
