Really? Because the difference to me is that Obama actually was born in America, and Cruz was not. Isn't that what the whole birther thing was about?

Well now they have a proof positive case of a child not born on US soil, not born on a military base or embassy, with an American mother and a non-American father. Go to it, birthers, prove that this is not about politics and race but upon constitutional principle.

The contrast that is lost on you is the difference between the time it took Obama to release his birth certificate and the time it took all previous presidents.

I won't call you a birther. But, I will identify you as someone who holds our first black president to a higher standard than previous presidents.

There is no contrast because they're not even in the same league. The demand for Obama's birth certificate was deeply offensive and racist and, frankly, he never should have released it.

Also, there was and is no "birther" movement on the left. You make a silly comparison.

I'm going to love watching the birthers try to claim that being born in Canada to an American mother is somehow "more" American than (supposedly) being born in Kenya to an American mother.

If Hillary had been born outside the US and held dual citizenship, they would be losing their minds trying to disqualify her.

I think it is hilarious that the Tea Party favorite was born on foreign soil. I cannot wait for the backtracking of the hypocritical birthers in 2016!
