There are so many genres of music from any time period. You should already know what your friend would want to hear if you are going to make a "tape" or cd. If you have to ask for suggestions, then it's not the right gift. I don't mean to be rude. Just being realistic.

Yes, I already have many picked out that are meaningful. Looking for some artists I might not have thought of that would make me say, "oh yes! Why didn't I think of that..."

Today's lyrics, voices, and instrumentals are just as good as the 60s and 70s, and the recording and sound fidelity are better.

Um, no.

Stevie nicks, fleet wood Mac, pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Neil Diamond, American Pie (brain malfunction and can't recall artist at the moment), Queen, not a fan, but Boston was popular. Kansas. Meatloaf.

I have a friend who is turning 60 and I am going to make him a disc of music.

If you are around this age, can you please tell me some of your favorite classic tunes from the 60's and 70's?

Thanks!
