We loved FARM in Napa - great atmosphere and food. +1 on Russian River Valley and Iron Horse in particular. Oh, and if you want a fantastic friendly lesson in tasting, sign up for a class at Hendry - wines delicious, unpretentious, and a worthy experience. Enjoy!

12:14 here. I forgot Vintner's Collective. It's a wine bar downtown and they have a ton of wines from wineries that are smaller, or have limited releases, or are generally not open to the public. GREAT wine club to join, too! The staff were so awesome.

All are amazing. You'll find more places you haven't already heard of/can't find at Calvert Woodley.

Larkmead. You need a reservation but the wines and the experience are worth it.

Bouchon is pretty good. Balloon rides are pretty good. There's an outlet mall in Napa, but you probably have better prices where you live.

THis might not be up your alley but we rented bikes at the shop in Callistoga and spent the day cycling in the valley - wine tasting, dining, etc. Esp nice if you are there on a weekend day when driving can be tedious.

LOVE Bottega, Bistro Jeanty and Ad Hoc, also Bouchon Bakery. Bardessono is fabulous..you will love it!

Go to St. Helena and Calistoga, hit a few of the vineyards, take a private tour, think the company we used was Homegrown and they offer wonderful small private vineyard tours.

Another vote for Calistoga.

Besides the spas, there is a geyser up that way that is pretty cool to see.

Beringer and Dry Creek vineyards tastings. Maybe take an afternoon trip over to the coast - Jenner or north? Russian River/redwood groves. There was this gourmet shop in old town Sonoma near the old fort and barracks?

Ad Hoc is a good place to eat. Very reasonable, especially compared to French Laundry

If you like sparkling wine, go to Domaine Carneros

The CIA is a nice place for lunch

Harbin Hot Springs up north of Calistoga near Williams. Clothing optional hot springs, restaurant, spa treatments. Get a day pass. Turn left at the naked yoga instructor doing a head stand.

Go to the spa at Indian Springs Resort and Spa in Calistoga for a volcanic mud bath, and then swim in the hot spring pool at the resort. Amazing place.

Going for 6 days. First three are business (in San Francisco) then 3 days in Napa staying at Bardessono. Refuse to go to French Laundry but happy to hear any other must do or see suggestions. Thank you!
