We have a new electric flat top. The newer ones are a vast improvement over the older ones. They heat the pan up much quicker and the tops are fairly easy to keep clean,

Flat Top. Range is hard to clean, hate the coils. I would not bother replacing with a basic range as someone will probably get it replaced.

My first choice as a buyer would be a gas range, but if only electric then I'd like a nice ceramic flat top stove.

We're selling our condo and have to get a new electric range. If you were buying, would you prefer a flat top or a range? I hate flat tops myself, but I'm not sure which might be more appealing to buyers.
