are you talking deep soaking tub or regular tub

acrylic is fine and actually costs over 2000-3000.

Although everyone wants steel and porcelain If you are doing a true soaking tub as shown in the pic above the weight may cause you to have to reinforce the floor under it.

Cast iron tubs will hold heat for hours but are very, very heavy. If you fill a cast iron tub 1/4 of the way with hot water, let it absorb the heat and then fill it the rest of the way to the temp you like, you're good for hours.

It does to me. But this depends on the value of your home, as well as the location.

I am always thinking resale value. We are upgrading our bathroom. I found this great tub that has a built in jacuzzi, tub is acrylic. Does the material on a freestanding tub make a difference? Thanks.
