I think we had to pay about $2,500 extra for each cycle for using a gestational surrogate. SG does many gestational surrogacies and it's run under the Donor Egg team so separate group of nurses.

I think anyone that falls out of their "standard IVF box" gets in a pile where it takes longer to get a response. I don't know if that is because they don't actually want us as patients or because we throw their "machine" off and it actually takes longer...
Thanks for this. I've been wondering this very thing. Friends who've gone there who are doing some version of IUI seemed to just be whisked into the system. Their experience has been way different than ours.
Does anyone know how gay friendly GIVF is?

Anonymous wrote:Interesting, not aware of GIVF. We've been to SG and while they said they'd do it, they seem reluctant and they are not getting back to us (we've only been there for a consult, that was three weeks ago and I've called twice since then. Is it summer? Is everyone on vacation? I don't know.) We've also been to CFA and they seemed to have no issue with it, didn't bat an eye at all.
We're kind of just trying to figure out where to go.
