Subject: Potty Training and daycare
If your child needs to be reminded that often for longer then a day or two then she probably isn't ready. Your daycare probably realizes this and isn't pushing the issue. They will see when she is ready and put full effort then.
I speak from experience, my oldest was trained right at 2, so I wanted my youngest to be too, but daycare didn't think she was ready. Two months later they did and now she is potty-trained. You have to not use pull-ups when potty training.

How often is she having accidents, and is she ever going on her own? Does she stay dry for a couple of hoes at a time?
What I found is that if they really are mostly day trained, they will work with you. If they really need to be reminded to go every half hour or else there are accidents, your child isn't trained yet and they will probably want her in pull -ups.

Ask your DCP how she normally handles potty training - she's probably done it before. I had several conversations with DCP leading up to our mega 4 day potty training extravaganza and we had to compromise on what methods we were going to use in order to get DCP on board but it's worth it, IMO.

Ask again at your daycare - ours was very supportive of potty-training and took the children in training every 20 minutes on a schedule. The toddler rooms all had small bathrooms and they had a teacher who was on top of it each day. It's hard to believe they would "rebuff" her on this - maybe talk to the director too?

It looks like we have potty trained early. It has been several months coming great on weekends- not so good on weekdays.
What do I need to tell the daycare to do with our child? At home I am constantly asking is DD needs to potty. Is request that they ask every 1/2 hour and actually go every hour acceptable?
At this point DD walks to the potty when ready without inquiry on our part. But, in daycare there is no potty in her room and when we initally started trianing she would be rebuffed and does not have a go to person for potty. Hence, my suggested schedule. Any recommendations?
