Subject: Re:At what age did you switch your large breed puppy to adult dog food?
We have a Lab mix that is about 55lbs. When he was 6-7 months our vet told us to stop the puppy food and switch him to the adult stuff. She said he didn't need all the extra fat in the puppy food.

Curious--we have gotten mixed messages from different sources such as the Vet and other large breed dog owners. Some say to switch to adult food by 4 mo. to prevent PANO and others are saying wait til dog is 1 yr to switch to adult food...thoughts? thanks!
