If you live near Centreville, Upward basketball is a good program. My daughter played when she was younger then moved over to rec.

Where do you live? Sports on the Hill is pretty low key. Also, I think HoopED is pretty low key as well.

I like the church leagues for low stress games (again depends on church and coach). I've also heard really good things about some of the NOVA youth leagues (Burke, SYC or Fairfax). Parktakes registration starts today. that is usually low stress to take a basketball class.

My 8yo son dislikes most sports and has low tone and some motor planning issues. But he has taken to basketball this summer (he has played it at camp), and has told me that he would love to play on weekends with some kids. Does anyone know of a basketball league or similar group where (non-athletic) kids could go to play and have fun?
