I am interested in finding out if anywhere in the US I can visit am Indian reservation. Are there any?
And what can I expect? Very touristy experience? Authentic?
I am especially interested in the Pacific NW.

THANK YOU

There are many, many reservations, and they are generally large and sparsely populated. Are you actually looking for somewhere that has a Native American museaum or cultural center? What are you hoping to do or to see? Guided tours organized by a tribe might be something to look for.

You can visit the Navajo Nation.

Kah-Nee-Ta resort on the Warm Springs Reservation near Bend, Oregon used to be nice, although I haven't been since the casino opened. You can sleep in teepees, although it should be noted that teepees are not native to the Pacific NW. There is a museum, too.

'Ksan in northern British Columbia (on the Yellowhead Highway between Prince Rupert and Prince George) has a well-done recreation of a First Nations village and a museum.
