Yes, I'd say the sizing runs large. I purchased a few things online last summer and the kids just started wearing them late this summer. We purchased a few 1.5-2 years dresses last year for a 21 month old and she just now started wearing them this year right before she turned 3. They are sleeveless and the arm holes are still slightly large although the length looks ok. Also I don't see anything wrong with the quality. Their kids stuff is cheaper than target clothes in my experience and they've washed well for us. I don't buy expensive kids clothes because I don't want to worry about if my kids rip or stain them.

Sizing is huge. My son is 15 months and in 18-24 months or 24 month clothes. But there's no way he could fit into a 1.5-2 year shirt from HM.

I love their clothes, much better quality for kids than adults. My boy would wear the 4-6 y/o when he was 4. He's always been around 95 percentile height and 70 percentile weight. The cut is European - slim & long.

I love H&M clothes for kids, they are pretty cute, but yeah, the size is a bit wonky.

I find HM clothing size to run small. My DD is just above average height, thin side, but I find the height runs a bit small. DD is 8.

I've found their clothes to be crap. They tear and pill easily. There's not one item that my three year old will be able to hand down to her sister.

I found the sizing VERY inconsistent. One size six shirt was two inches shorter but three inches wider than another size six shirt. I just stopped buying there except for socks, unless my kid was with me to try on.

Im reviving - shopping for my almost 5 yr old DD who wears size small at Gap. She is a US size 6. not sure if she is H&M 4-6, or 6-7 or 6-8. Do these run big, small?

I have a 3 yr old tall skinny and LOVE H&M for his clothes. He's 3.5 and wears 2-4 in shirts but still the one-size down in pants. They do sell slim pants but we find their normal pants small enough b/c they have a sizer in the inside.

I'd suggest you start with a small set of 4-6. They might be a bit big but was and dry once before deciding to buy smaller. Also, I don't find that they shrink all that much but still feel good and cotton-y.

And their undies are FABULOUS for my skinny-assed kid. Seriously, he's got a very small butt. He's in the smallest size now at 3.5 but I think about to go up. The boxers are a bit larger than the briefs for the same package size.

The one caveat to all this is that IMO their night clothes run small.

I now that's a lot but finding good clothes for skinny boys is my mission in life...well, not really but something I spend a lot of time doing.

So on the beauty forum I learned that H&M now has an online storefront but I can't figure out their kids sizing. 2-4 years? 4-6 years? Those are huge differences and their size chart does not even match up to those parameters. If you buy for little boys there can you comment? There are a couple of sweaters I'd like to get for back to school for my tall, skinny 4 year old.
