OP here, bought the Frye boots, they are so comfortable! Can't wait (well I can because I love summer) to wear them. I would never buy boots this expensive, but my parents were here and they were so generous that instead of putting the money they gave me in savings I purchased some things I typically would not buy.
Got a Zella hoodie and a couple sleeveless knit tops that will work under jackets for work. Wasn't crazy about the fall styles for clothes--nothing that would work for me that I don't feel like I already have, and didn't really need any shoes or boots.
Can I make a first world complaint here? And I hope someone from nordstroms is listening. What aren't the organic cotton girls tights on sale like they have at previous anniversary sales? I went in specifically to stock up for the school year, and just kept staring and looking for the sale sticker. I was bummed.
boots - still trying to decide if I like them enough to keep
dress - too low cut, so returning, but it would have been a great addition to my wardrobe
undies and bra
smartwool socks
fleece jacket for DD - even on sale, almost twice the price of Lands End or LL Bean, but she gets a LOT of use out of it and it will last two school years, so the price-per-wear is not so awful.
Yes, but right when it started. I used to work there and all of the good stuff goes in the first few days. Thought of going back for my husband, but figured it would be useless at this point.
I bought my stepson a pair of Sperry boat shoes for the school year. $69, normally $99. I walked through Nordstrom the other day and saw lots of nice boots for a good price too, though.
