Dog's Day Daycare in Gaithersburg. The guy essentially has turned his entire house and yard into a doggie daycare. He also takes the dogs to a fenced in portion of a farm to run around. He also volunteers with Your Dog's Friend nonprofit in Rockville which is how we found out about them. We were very pleased when we left our 2 y.o. Lab with him-she was worn out!

I highly recommend The Dog Stay in Silver Spring. Its different than most facilities in that it is cageless. The dogs spend their time playing together (inside and outside) rather than cooped up in crates. The lady who runs it, Terry, is fantastic. She is a lovely person, and really cares about the dogs and wants it to be a stress-free experience for the dogs and their owners. Dogs have to be temperment tested before they are accepted (no aggressive dogs allowed). We've used several different places to board our dog, and this one is the best we've found, hands down.

Oh, I forgot to add (Sniffers). There is a webcam for the day care area, available for their regular work hours.

We have done the cageless boarding at Sniffers Doggie Depot in Rockville, though this was a few years ago. The dogs spend the day in daycare with other dogs (separated by size) and sleep in the same room at night. The dogs go out several times a day, though I don't remember a grassy area. They conducted an assessment to see if our dog would fit in before accepting him. We provided the food, though you can purchase from their options.

Most places we have gone to, the dog never goes outside. I can deal with that for a weekend, but not a week as my dog loves to just go in the yard and sleep in the sun! I appreciate any info good or not so good about a place. Thanks!
