If you want solitude then by all means go there.
Most likely, you will end up sitting inside reading or watching TV, something you could have done in your own home.
Should you happen to get a break in the weather, you might get to take your children hunting for seashells on the beach, and they could still build sand castles.
But all the big attractions like Putt-Putt golf, amusement park, and Ripley's Believe It or Not, will be closed. I'm not sure about Ripley's but I think it closes during the winter.
Best thing to do is use the internet and see what's available. There could be hidden gem things to do but I am quite certain most of the touristy stuff that kids find fun will be closed.
