OP - Keep in mind that all depending on the age of your furnace, you made need to replace that as well in order for the new AC to work properly.

We just replaced our HVAC, 1400 sqft, new digital thermo, new ducts, 16seer - $6700

A+ Airconditioning. (The also did my furnace replacement in January - both systems were 15+ years old). I have a Rheem system. I should probably know more about the system, but I don't. I just went with replacing with the same manufacturer and updated system that I previously had.

When things are leaking in my basement and I'm heading out for a two week vacation, I take the easy way out and don't do research.

Brand will also determine cost. A Carrier will be way more expensive than a Rudd or Bryant. Also the SEER is a major factor.

HVAC units on the roof will always cost more because your contractor needs to hire a crane. That cost passes onto you.

I just did HVAC for my 2100 sq foot house with a 16.7 SEER 3 ton unit with a HEPA filter and it ran me $6200. Not on the roof though.

Don't they have to use a crane if it is on a roof? That is where is gets expensive.

My uncle installs HVAC systems in another state and I seem to remember him saying that roof ACs drive up the costs of installation.

Hi, I am reaching out to contractors as I write this.... Can anyone give me just a ball park for the following?

1500 SF condo needs new AC/heating unit. Outdoor portion is on roof (third story).

I need a HEPA filter and whole-home dehumidifier. New thermostat that monitors temperature.
