I've had my Fitbit since last September. I've lost ten pounds, slowly, without changing my diet. I just try to hit my goals everyday. I have a desk job, so it was vital for me to realize how sedentary I had become.

How long have you had the FitBit? Is it worth the money?

I think I am the quoted PP. I got the fitbit right around xmas. For months I just wore it and it didn't really change my behavior. The past couple months, my competitive juices kicked in and I am really striving to hit my goal each day, which means finding time to walk or run before or after work, etc. Also, I like the syncing with MFP and the extra calories I get.

That said, I have not lost any weight... but it's helping me create better exercise and eating habits. So yes, I think it's worth it.

Ok now I get it. I use the Lose It! App and it syncs with my Fitbit. If I get A LOT of steps then I get extra calories added to my daily target. I have not been doing it lately because I eat most of my meals at home now and hate weighing portions out before anyone serves themselves from my recipe. However when I was traveling for work and eating all meals out, I used it religiously and lost 20 lbs in 6 months.

Perhaps we don't understand the question. Just wear it every day and see what your activity level is. If you don't hit your goal for the day / week, change your routine.

I'd like to know this, too.

I bought primarily to track activity level. TIA.
