Not the OP but my current office is like this. Our VP doesn't blow dry her scraggly hair but instead pulls it back into a wet ponytail and comes to work in sundresses and flip flops. She's a total fraud and a poseur so I'm not surprised, but it drives me nuts.

At my office - mostly pumps with some peep toe heels and dressy sandals. Sneakers and flip flops are are not permitted here.

What about ballet flats from aerosoles? They are super comfy and they have some stylish options.

Do you own regular pumps? I would start with those if you have them and then figure out what other women are wearing. No harm in starting off on the conservative side, imo. I am in a middle of the road business casual office and in the summer shoes range anywhere from sandals (almost flip-floppy ones on Fridays) to closed-toe pumps. In fact I am wearing closed-toe black pumps right now.

Can someone link to examples that they think would be acceptable? I went to DSW the oher day and left empty handed because I kept waivering on what the right style would be. I'd love to find a low wedge-style slingback, but I didn't really see anything there.

We are university business casual, which is probably more casual than private sector. I wear dressy sandals. Black or brown, leather, with a heel strap.

Maybe start out with slingbacks or peep toe flats or low heels, and then check out what others are wearing. In my business casual office, normal summer footwear ranges from clogs and nice thongs (on the casual end) to low heels on the dressy end. Slides and mules are somewhere in the middle.

Yes, I wear slingbacks or peep toe shoes.

I wear toms, but I think thats on the casual side. I would just wear comfortable flats.
