OP here- I'm also 14:34. You may want to relax a bit and calm down (and try and do so without downing an entire bottle). Good lord you're invested in a single comment!

I assumed 14:34 and 15:22 are the same person. If not, it goes for both of you.

OP, I apologize for getting all cranky in your thread. But I've really had it with a few people's superior judgmental crap.

OP -- consider a boxed wine. They actually have some that are quite decent these days, and a lot less waste. They stay fresh for several weeks so you can get a glass when the mood strikes. I enjoy Black Box merlot.

Well, there are a few people in the area who aren't total alcoholics - It's confusing, I know.

Yes...if you're able to consume one bottle of wine over the course of a few days, you are an alcoholic.

They're called half bottles. Better wine stores will have them. Like anything else, the half-size one costs a little more than half the full-size one. But they're perfect for OP's situation.

OP, ask wherever you buy wine. Total Wine, Calvert Woodley, Ace, MacArthur, One Dupont Circle, Conn. Ave. Wine & Liquor, and Bell's all have them. I think Whole Foods has a few, and World Market might. I've also seen a few even in my local corner mom-and-pop. Not every wine out there is available in half bottles, of course, but there are enough of them that you'll have a selection and hopefully be able to find the type and quality of wine you're looking for.

You're going to find better quality wine in half-bottles than you will in those individual serving sizes (the ones that look like room service or airplane size). Those individual ones are usually the mass-produced stuff. Though if that's fine for you, then fine--they're convenient.

Where can I buy small, good/decent quality bottles of wine? I don't drink very often, and I can't finish an entire bottle before it goes bad (within a few days). But I enjoy a glass every once in a while.

Are there any places (stores or online) where I can buy small bottles or single servings of decent wine?
