Why, OP? Because of the expense? It's not like you're just sitting around eating bon bons. You actively work out, and the weight it not going away. This isn't just what your husband finds attractive. It's about your own self-esteem. If it's bugging you that much, I think it's worth pursuing.
You could at least go for a consult with a doctor.
Only caveat is if you want to have another child, you should probably wait.
