Few months later he was fired. I texted him a photo of myself and another one of his directs having a drink with the caption "congrats."

Did that make you feel better?

It did. Still brings a smile to my face.

NP. I don't even get it. You congratulated him for being fired? It makes no sense. Work on your come back.

Are you seriously in need of someone to explain it to you?

I guess it's just stupid. I don't know how it could make anyone smile. The fired boss was probably relieved.

I initially worked full-time. After baby, I worked part-time at the same company in a different position (I was totally fine with the new position). They eventually told me I needed to go back to f/t so I quit because I knew that I was going to try to get pregnant again soon and I wouldn't want to be working f/t after the birth.

Putting in 60 hours a week... Salary on 43k and having to use my own car... And getting reimburse when they felt like it for mileage..

First job out of grad school. Rampant sexual harassment by senior management. Misuse of donor funds. Promotion of unqualified junior staff who either didn't know what was going on or were willing to overlook it. I got the hell out of there.

Guess your old employer should have offered you a raise?

Micromanagement and constant criticism, dismal employee morale. Expectation to work at least 50 hours per week for less than $100k.

I came off maternity leave with a 6 week old baby and a three year old and felt that it was too much juggling, so I became a SAHM instead.

If you ever quit a post-college, professional job, what happened? What made you leave? (talking about good jobs here. Not McJobs)
