I emailed a resume and cover letter to the posted person's email address three weeks ago for a job that seems incredibly suited for me (in my humble opinion). At the three weeks mark I wrote a follow up email reiterating my interest and inquiring whether the position has been filled.
No response to either contact so far. That would seem a bad sign but it is a non profit and the job contact is one of the executive staff, so I would imagine she is very busy generally.
I thought I would give it another 2 weeks then track down a phone number and call someone - or is that too pushy?
Good luck OP, this limbo is tough!
Have you guys considered a possibility that the job has already been filled internally and they have posted the job opening to ensure legal compliance?
That happens a lot at my husband's workplace. They'd have a person doing the job part-time, but in order for that person to be hired full-time, they need to have a position officially open, advertised, resumes collected, interviews conducted.. and I feel bad to people who come to those interviews while, in reality, no one plans on hiring any of them.
