I have Hashimoto's and go to Dr. Al Zubaidi in Farifax. She is crazy and her appointments always run insanely late (I mean sometimes 4 or more hours late) but she has been a lifesaver for me.

I am the OP. I met with Dr Tanen this morning. I loved him!

He did an ultrasound and said my thyroid is a bit enlarged which could be a sign of Hashimoto's. He run a blood test and will let me know in the next few weeks. He said that this may not be the main reason that i could not get pregnant but may be a piece of the puzzle.

His reviews are awesome!!! Just booked an oppointment for August 29th (the earliest available).

Great! He helped me get my hypothyroidism under control before I went on to get pregnant (finally) and stay pregnant. He does carefully monitor during pregnancy, esp in the beginning. We are about to TTC #2 and he is part of the team!

Good luck, OP!

can you recommend one in Falls Church/McLean area? Not an RE, just endocrinologist. My TSH is high and I want to consult.
