It's pretty much impossible to cut out all sugar, unless you mean granulated added sugar. Who has 2g a day? Even an apple will push you over.

You may also not be eating enough calories....

Cut out all sugar. Try to stay under 2 grams a day and you will drop pounds and feel great.

Pp not OP, sorry.

That is interesting. Yeah, my primary care doctor had me cut out all those things and then my cholesterol did go down, so we control it that way rather than through medication.

Pp here. Ok then. Well you can still have plenty of protein choices from what I mentioned. Cottage cheese is another good source. I'm on myfitnesspal, a site/app for logging calories and exercise. It's really helpful!

Log everything you eat. Fitday is a good site for that. I actually had to turn in a food log to my trainer and that was an amazing motivator to stay on track. I cut out all breads & pastas except for one day of the week. Alcohol is a big diet buster, too, so try to limit that if you drink regularly.

I was at 159 on New Year's Day and am down to 150 via Weight Watchers, working out nearly every day (sometimes only half an hour on the elliptical, but at least SOMETHING 6 days a week) and seeing a personal trainer for the last six weeks.

I am toning up and slimming down a bit, but I really want to be at 140. I feel like I need something to jump start this diet. I've been stuck at 148-150 for a solid month or two now.

I'm considering Sugar Busters or some other carb-denying diet for a few weeks, but what's hard is that I can't have eggs/red meat/cheese or anything with them in it (high cholesterol) so it's a very restrictive diet.

I've also heard about fasting or just eating during an 8 hour window....

Any thoughts about how to jump start this weight loss?
