If he likes sports, maybe he'd like to try skim boarding? There are lessons available in Dewey Beach, close by. My kids are not quite old enough (going to try next year), but we've seen the lessons and camps and kids are really into it.

So my 14 year old DS is REALLY not looking forward to our beach week for a variety of reasons. He doesn't want to hang out on the beach, so I'd like to compromise by donig a few non-beach activities during the week.

Does anyone have any good ideas? He loves sports. He might like a golf lesson with a local pro, or something more off beat. Also likes nature and history.
