This happened to me, but only lasted a few weeks. I didn't have a UTI or anything either. This is my second and I had a C section the first time.

Very very likely. I am currently dealing with that. It feels like UTI only that it is not.

Apparently it isn't uncommon to have UTIs without symptoms in pregnancy, so I'd want a urine test regardless.

Ovarian cysts don't cause urinary pain in my experience, nor are they usually serious. Mine have always gone away on their own after a few weeks.

Lately I have experienced slight but definitely noticeable cramps every time I go pee. I'm wondering if it's b/c I started working out more than usual. I had a c-section almost two years ago now so I think if it was that I would have experienced it before now. I have pretty much ruled out bladder infection, kidney infection & pregnancy, but I'm concerned it could be something worse like an ovarian cyst or something. I'm due for my annual so I'm going to def talk to the doctor about my concerns. Fingers crossed it's nothing at all.

I get like a cramp in my lower stomach when I begin to urinate and am currently 4 days late on my period.... It has been going on for about a week and a half now and i have no idea what is causing it

OP, try to empty your bladder more frequently. I had the same issue and going to the potty more frequently helped a lot!
The growth of your uterus shifts the placement of other organs around and the ligaments and muscles that hold the bladder in place also suffer with the pressure, if it gets too full you'll stretch the muscles more. The lesser you wait to empty it the lesser you'll feel the pressure in the area since the muscles won't be stretched to their limits.
In the beginning it was pretty annoying but now that I can see the results it's totally worth it.

This happened to me starting sometime in my second trimester. Basically, I would get painful braxton hicks contractions right before (and during) urination. Do you have a lot of braxton hicks contractions generally (I did).
FWIW, I did have one UTI during my pregnancy, but the contractions continued even after I was treated for the UTI.
They did freak me out, but they caused no problems - I delivered safely on my baby's due date!

I am 25 weeks now and I have been getting similar cramping/abdominal pain during and immediately after i urinate. Nothing to worry about though. From what I read on other blogs, doctors say it has to do with the movement of the organs when the bladder is relieved. When the bladder is emptied, it allows everything else to "settle" into place and stretch. The stretching and movement is what causes it. Usually as soon as I get up and start walking around, it gets better.

Yes. I have no UTIs, and while urinating have quite an unpleasant feeling - not really a cramp, but pressure which passes after a few seconds.

OP here-no, I have never had any surgery before, and this is my first pregnancy. The pain hasn't gotten worse, it is just intermittent. To the other poster who gets these cramps--I think the beginning of the second trimester is when I got them too. Probably just another wierd pregnancy symptom

I have abdominal pressure/cramps (almost like contractions) while urinating, if that makes you feel better. It's been that way since at least the beginning of the second trimester.

No but is this your first pregnancy? If it is your second pregnancy anad you had a bad teaer or episiotomy with your first or you have ever had surgery before near your uterus I would be worried there is some weird scar tissue or fistula trying to form between your urethra and something else. Esp if you have ruled out a UTI. I don't think it is normal to have cramps when urinating not associated with infection. I have extreme pelvic pressure now at the end of my pregnancy that always sends all kinds of shooting pains in that area but never when I am peeing. Just a thought-

Does anyone else occassionally have painful muscle cramps while urinating? I have had this throughout much of the pregnancy. It isn't a UTI, I've had those before. It's just like painful tight cramping in the lower abdomen while emptying the bladder. I mentioned it to my Dr and they didn't really know what it was.
