OP asked about ART options and 19:17 suggests trying naturally. That might be okay advice for someone 34, but not 44.

We have been trying since our son was about a year old. I have had one other pregnancy but unfortunately it ended in miscarriage. I am not sure what my amh levels are. I am encouraged that dominion was able to help a 50 year old get pregnant. So do they genetically screen each and every embryo before transferring it? Do they use PGD? A friend of mine used that years ago.

Do you know your AMH levels? Dominion had a 50+ year old woman use her own eggs, I believe. It's worth a shot. If personally do NCIVF. It's so easy, and you can do it month after month if you have to. Plus, it's fairly cheap.

IVF likely won't boost your natural odds as your eggs will be quite fragile. I'd try naturally!

No, you will almost certainly not have more than one to transfer with NCIVF. It may be a good option if your ovaries won't respond to the meds to stimulate them. The pro of NCIVF over trying on your own is that your clinic will be able to genetically screen the embryo before they transfer it. If you try on your own and you get pregnant easily, you may end up having pregnancies that result in early miscarriages due to genetic abnormalities. All that gets you is the heartache of miscarriage as well as more lost time.

I would try GW or CFA. Despite the staff turnover at GW, I would still consider it as Dr. Frankfurter is really fantastic.

Why go for IVF if you conceived your first naturally? It probably won't help you much anyway. Btw, if you go to RE you would be under constant pressure to use DE. I was, at age 39 and with an easily conceived 1 yo. It's crazy out there.

Most RE's will treat you--they want the money. I do think they would share with you the low chance of success with your own eggs and try to talk to you about donor eggs to get you a better chance of success. There are outliers in all statistics, so maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones? If you have insurance that covers it or can do a few rounds of IVF financially, why not?

CFA and GW would treat a 44 year old.

How long have you been trying on your own? As you may know, odds are not especially good at 44. NCIVF does not typically generate more than one embryo. GW would likely treat a 44 year old, not sure about the others.

Not great statistically... BUT you never know....Everyone is different.

Would natural IVF be a reasonable option for me? With natural IVF can I expect to have more than one embryo to transfer! What do you think our chances would be?
