The head of our division asked the group if there were any questions and a new employee asked something that was obvious to most in the room. The head of the division was ungracious and basically called it a stupid question. Here's the thing: I still remember it for HIS lack of grace (note: I remember nothing about the person who asked the question). I also remember taking note that that executive division head had, himself, done something incredibly stupid: by reacting badly, he ensured that he would miss out on future great ideas/insights/questions/comments from staff b/c they would all worry about being called stupid.
Let it go. It reflected poorly on the other guy not on you.
