In Bethesda the caribou on the corner of old georgetown rd and woodmont used to have some toys, but I haven't checked lately.

Veterans Park in Bethesda might be nice-- both Starbucks and Tout de Sweet are across the street from it (in different directions).

Any recommendations for toddler friendly cafes/coffee shops/restaurants in Kensington, Silver Spring, Chevy Chase, Rockville or Bethesda? My one year old is an early riser and so hard to keep entertained at home. I want to start getting out of the house early to grab coffee or breakfast somewhere and then heading to gymboree, pool, etc. One place that has been good for us is the Starbucks and Einstein Bagels on Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase because of their large patio area. Any other recommendations? Any place with a kids play area?
