Sadly, when I recently interviewed for a working-from-home position, the interviewer, who I'd never met before, told me that being a Stay-at-home-mom was the hardest job in the world. Mind you, I have worked, albeit part time, since my kids were babies and have never considered myself a stay-at-home-mom. The interviewer's condescension (assuming I would be looking for home based work meant I was a stay at home mom) followed by her revelation that she doesn't have kids and doesn't plan on having them, telegraphed quite effectively that she disagreed with corporate's decision to bring on employees with "virtual offices" at home. Hi OP I have no advice but would love to hear about how you learned about this position if you don't mind sharing. I would LOVE to find a work from home position but haven't come across many. Thanks!

My current job doesn't allow work from home. I'm interviewing for a position that would be primarily from home (going into the office once a week or every other week). Any tips on questions to expect in light of that or anything I should stress? The employer knows I have kids, so I figure I should mention that I have full time child care and a quiet, separate home office. Anything else to think about in advance?
