Sadly, when I recently interviewed for a working-from-home position, the interviewer, who I'd never met before, told me that being a Stay-at-home-mom was the hardest job in the world. Mind you, I have worked, albeit part time, since my kids were babies and have never considered myself a stay-at-home-mom. The interviewer's condescension (assuming I would be looking for home based work meant I was a stay at home mom) followed by her revelation that she doesn't have kids and doesn't plan on having them, telegraphed quite effectively that she disagreed with corporate's decision to bring on employees with "virtual offices" at home.
