We go to Baltimore regularly, and we are already scheduled to go to the Hyatt in Cambridge later this summer. We are looking for something beyond the obvious day trips and weekend trips. Something in the mountains with a lake or other activities would be ideal. A resort would be perfect since its tough to find a house rental for a weekend.

Dutch Wonderland and the Strasbourg Railroad with some Amish country sprinkled in. 2.5 hour drive, totally doable for a daytrip. Best for 7 and under.

Where can we go besides the beach (which we've already done and will do again later this summer)?
No more than a four hour drive fom DC.
We need activities for our kids (pool, mini golf, hiking, something).
