Bc north arlington is closer to dc

So do people in S. Arlington park their cars in their front yard and have bbqs in their garage??

MD is not superior the jobs and higher quality life are in VA

It's all about the schools. North Arlington schools are much better, so people who can afford to choose to live there. The population then becomes segregated by income.

And yet it is all true...

Because there is a certain type of person who not only likes, but NEEDS to feel superior. Justifying the ridiculous housing prices helps fuel the fire. I grew up North and now live South and love it! So much more like the Arlington I grew up in, populated with real people instead of the plastic competitors that have crowded in. And most of the schools are great and much less crowded.

It's similar to how MD is superior to VA and essentially how the northeast is superior to the southeast.

lower performing schools thus students and poorer population

I see a lot of it on this site--'looking for good schools in N. Arlington, good neighborhoods, etc.' but rarely ever see such posts for S. Arlington. I realize it's more expensive to live on the north side but what, if any, are the problems with the south side? It doesn't seem like people actively seek out that area (a least from what I can tell on this site).
