It's great that your day to day life keeps you active, compared to my desk-bound job I'd love to have that extra 8hrs to be moving. So, what goal do you want to set? An extra 3mi (~6,000 steps) per day? An extra 5?
OP here. PP--Are you at a reception desk or on a customer service line? That stinks. I have a desk job, too, but I am able to walk around as much as I can--take the long way to the bathroom and kitchen, etc. I have notied that on days when I wear heels I don't walk as much.
To the PP, I have checked to make sure that it doesn't register when moving side to side (sometimes I rock/wiggle absent-mindedly while waiting for the train). You can wear it on a waistband, in a pocket or on the bra, and all seem accurate.
I just wasn't sure if I should just try to walk more, start jogging, or what. I know this is a baseline, but once that's hit, can you just be lazy?
