I turn nearly purple. I have pale skin, blue eyes, and my skin is actually quite thin (no joke--been told that by two different derms). So when I exercise the blood is just much more visible than on other people. I get asked a lot "you okay??" and it takes a long time for me to go to pink and then normal.

This happens to me after hard runs outside, but I don't have rosacea. I'm pretty pale (german/dutch/irish.) I just don't put makeup on right after I work out, but wait until enough time has passed that my face isn't red anymore.

Sometimes standing right in front of a fan right after the post-workout shower helps too.

I'm the same. The post-work out red face is embarrassing. I think I can shorten the duration buy hydrating like mad.

+2 People often stop to say "are you all right?"

Mine too. Light brown hair, brown eyes, and I tan quite easily but whenever I work out I look like I'm about to stroke out. It can be embarrassing but I still figure it's better to work out!

I have the same issue and that's why I always work out after work. It takes hours sometimes for the redness to go away. I've had people ask me if I was okay since I was a kid, like pp, because my face would get so red right away when outside playing or working out. Just my norm too. I have dark hair and eyes, but I'm about the palest person you'd ever meet.

This happens to me. I don't have any medical condition, it just is my norm. I am a pale person, red hair blue eyes, and I have always had this problem.

OP here,

I don't have rosacea just the red face after running. Can drink plenty w/o red face. I agree with PP. It's annoying and it looks like a bad sunburn. Even my eyes look smaller. For some reason, it makes me feel like I am 12.

I do have rosacea FWIW.

Sounds like possibly a mild case of Rosacea. Do you have little capilaries on your cheeks as well. I have it and treat with metro gel or finacea (when I was pregnant it was so much worse). The best long term solution I found is IPL (laser) treatments.

My face gets very red after running (or any workout for that matter), but it stays red for hours. It's a little frustrating when I want to leave my house or go to work and my face is beet red.

Is this problematic or just individual variation?

Thanks!
