Thanks for those who were helpful and for those who were not, what is wrong with you that you would chide me for not searching archives?. I did not know this had been a topic. What makes you need to treat others that way? Maybe take a look at what is going on for you here.

Honest to Pete, there was this same exact thread not a week ago. Search the archives!

I took my daughter to piercing pagoda at Wheaton mall. They had two staff members so did both ears simultaneously which I would highly recommend. I'm not sure my daughter would have wanted to do the second one I yet had done it one at a time. My daughter is also six. She cried when they did it but within a few minutes was happy and fine. This was about six weeks ago and they have healed just fine.

Go to a tattoo parlor. Proper piercing is done with hollow needles, as to remove the skin where the hole will be, instead of pushing the skin aside. A piercing gun pushes the skin aside and creates scar tissue and will delay healing. The people who work in tattoo and piercing parlors are highly trained and have much higher standards than the 18 y/o with the gun at Claires.

Daughter is turning six and eager to return to first grade with pierced ears. Thanks.
